Let me introduce myself. My name is Karen Whiston. I started my career as a professional administrator/ office support manager in 2011. I am now happy to offer my virtual assistant services to businesses and individuals through my very own business established in March 2020. While my journey started over 14 years ago, it is far from coming to an end and I look forward to continuing to provide support services to my valued clients.

In 2011 I started on a new and exciting journey. I was presented with a great opportunity and took a leap of faith. Never, in a million years, could I have imagined this one decision I made would shape the rest on my life. This one choice, over 14 years ago, lead me to who I am today, gave me the tremendous opportunities of growth and eventually lead me to starting Citrine Touch. I was given many opportunities throughout these past years to grow on the business side of things as well as in my personal life.

While at my past employer I didn’t just work for a company, that was not my mindset. I was there to help great people grow their business, to be a big part of something, and in the end those people and their business grew close to my heart. The people I met, worked for, and those I shared part of my life with became my friends, and I wanted to see the best for them.

I always strive to put 110% (and more) into all I do. It would not be acceptable for any less. I would like to think that what I brought to the company, I once worked for, was a big part of what helped with their happiness, strength, success and over all well-being. Something I would call balance.

Although that chapter has come to an end (not without tears), I now look forward to providing the same level of professional support and passion to others. I look forward to helping businesses and people grow and succeed, create opportunities and overall maintain or get back to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My Life Outside of My Career

I am a Mom to a great teenager who continues to surprise me, challenge me, but most of all reminds me of the joy one can have in life. As I have watched the years fly by, I realize (thanks to him), how precious each day is and how important it is to make time for those around you that you care most for. While it is so easy to be glued to our phones, to always be rushing to our next appointment or scheduled activity, it is so very important to unplug and just be in the moment and help our youth through what seems to be more difficult times. Never forget we are always learning.

I am married to a very supportive, caring man who has been with me through all the hard times (yes, we have had many) and all the good times (I’d like to think these outweigh the negative days). He has been a big supporter of this very new path I take in life.

I have had a great love for animals my whole life. Currently we have two loving cats who we recently adopted in late 2024. They are a bonded pair which needed a loving home and we were ready to open our hearts up to them after the passing of our first cat. I look forward to the years ahead with these two special boys. Sadly, our first cat, Juno, passed away near the end of 2024. I was so blessed to have had such a wonderful companion to share my life with 16+ years. She was a very special part of my life and will be missed greatly.
